Bridal Spotlight - Carrie

Video was a late addition for Carrie and Rob. I met with them on September 23rd to discuss their late December wedding. Their wedding turned out to be one of the best last year. So here is their Prologue, or you can view the whole wedding at the Kenneth Stillman Video site.

Our Secret Weapon

With six great photographers and six gorgeous brides it was almost too easy to get spectacular photographs. But we had a secret weapon in our back pocket. We had one amazing make-up artist that got our brides dolled up and looking fabulous all day.

Emily from Cheekadee Makeup Artists is one of the most talented cosmetologists in the Philadelphia/New Jersey areas. Her 20+ years of experience give brides the confidence on their wedding day that they will look fabulous from start to finish. Having makeup that looks great all day long is an important part of making your photos and video look great as well.

This is your wedding day. Don't gamble with an inexperienced makeup artist just to save a few bucks. A bad makeup job can be disastrous for your photos and video. Go with who the pros trust. Go with Emily and Cheekadee Makeup Artists.

Go to her website, view her photo galleries, and give Emily a call before she gets booked up for your date.

Same Day Edits

The Trash the Dress is one of the newest trends in wedding photography. One of the newest trends in wedding video is a thing called the Same Day Edit. What we do is create a video right there at the reception and show it. These are two cools trends that are keeping wedding photography and video from becoming boring and stale.

We have branded the same day edit as the B.I.G. Video Show. The B.I.G. stands for Bride Instant Gratification. While the video is certainly going to wow your guests and bring a tear to everyone's eyes, the biggest benefit of doing this is that the bride (and groom) walk away with an immediate keepsake of the wedding day. They can show it to friends and relative because we give it to them on DVD the night of the wedding. And they can also show it to complete strangers on the plane down to their honeymoon because we give them an iPod video version of the edit.

And then, of course, we post the video online so the couple can share the video with loved one's who couldn't make it. You can see the video we did on Friday for Jennifer and Nick by checking out our website at Kenneth Stillman Video or reading about it on the KSV Blog.

From The Collective to the Brides

While we all knew that The Philly Trash Bash was going to be great because of the talent we had pooled, it was our beautiful brides, with their sassy attitudes, that made this day real special.

We guess all we're really trying to say is....

John Arcara LOVES Philadelphia brides

John Arcara came to Philadelphia with a purpose - to find out if Philly brides were cooler than those in central Jersey. Images speak louder than words - you decide. To see more exciting images for to John Arcara Photography Blog.

Tease

Here's a little teaser shot from Stephanie. Don't worry, that is Erika's husband. We checked his I.D. ;-)  Erika wore a pair of black and white Chucks under her dress. How cute.

Who's ready for Philly Trash Bash 2?

ME!

Yesterday was a huge success. Much better than I think any of us could have imagined. We have so many great stories and images that I think we're going to have to tell our story in episodes. If I tried to explain the whole day the blog entry would be 3 pages long and you'd need to take a nap to finish reading it. But here is or group shot taken towards the end of the day. Some cool trash pictures will start trickling in. Stay tuned.

Getting Ready

So things have been a little quiet around the TTD blog lately. Well that's because it's all over but the shouting. The plans are in place, times and locations have been set, our bus route has been planned out. So there's nothing left to do, but to do it! It's the calm before the storm.

Come Monday you'll probably be reading all about the crazy shenanigans on each of our blogs and all over theknot.com. And then, of course, you'll start to see all the incredible pictures start getting released, which will eventually lead to the entire finished picture sets.

After the pictures are released you will start to see some incredibly cool videos by our creative editing staff at KSV. We have picked out some of the coolest music that has come along recently. Bookmark this site as well as our blogs (on the left) to stay up-to-date on all the cool Trash info.
